The Path Of Cain

(Non-sabbat)

This is the path I follow, this is the path closest to Cain's teachings. A step aside from the Sabbat noddists who follow their erroneous path with too much vigour and fanatiscism to see the truth lying in front of them.

Noddists are self-reliant, the development of a strong will is very important to us. Maintaining control, channelling anger and hatred into constructive forces is very important. We strengthen our minds, as well as our bodies in preperation for the struggle ahead. Unlike the Sabbat several rites have sprung up from this path, seeking to divine the will of Cain in matters of importance to us.

We study our history, The Book Of Nod, the life of Cain, treaties, events, clan histories, The Anarch revolt, all the sects and bloodlines that we can find. We store this knowledge in the hope that it might become useful at some point and to enlighten us in our dealings with the clans. We also study prophecy. Gehenna must be prevented, or at least delayed. We act to counter signs that are fulfilled and to buy time for organisation against the threat of the Antediluvians.

We are not human. Noddism accepts that. We do not seek salvation or damnation. Cain was cursed wrongly. To seek either is to damn Cain and legitimise the curse. We stand defiant, accept what we are and live with it. Deal with it, unlike those who cling to their precious humanity.

THE VAULDERIE

Noddists do not believe in the blood bond, to weaken and prevent such a thing happening Noddists engage in the Vaulderie whenever 3 or more of them meet.

CREATION RITE

After finding a suitable candidate for embrace the Noddist will divine the will of Cain in the matter. Only Cain can give permission for the embrace. Not elders, or Princes. The primary method is to bite the wrist crosswise and see which trickle of blood runs faster. Cains blood flows in us all and is always the basis for divination.

PREACHING

At meetings Noddists will often preach from the book of Nod or perform plays based on scenes from it.

0. Failing to pursue evidence of Cain or The Book Of Nod.

1. Failing to act to prevent a sign of Gehenna.

2. Indulging in a human weakness.

3. Succumbing to an elders control.

4. Drinking animal blood when human is available.

5. Committing diablerie.

PATH TRAITS

DIABOLISM - Frenzy when someone commits diablerie and attack them.

ABELITE - Frenzy when two or more near you frenzy, frenzy is for the weak, show them the error of their ways.

SELF-CONTROLLED - Frenzy when accused of frenzying.

VAMPIRE - Frenzy when other kindred indulge in weak human practices.

SCHOLAR - Frenzy when prevented from obtaining information on Cain or Gehenna or The Book Of Nod.

 

THE PATH OF BLOOD

This appears to be what the Assamites call their mish-mash of mortal religion and blood worship. The Path Of Blood seems to be a versatile path even though its honour aspects are impenetrable to those that foolishly try to stick to the path of so called 'humanity'. The path may have changed a little since the revolt since Assamites can no longer participate in the practice of diablerie. I doubt very much it has changed though. The choice on whether to damn oneself is a personal one, and much like the Assamites must do, I regret that that choice has been taken from them.
