I have been fortunate ( I think) in that I have met some of the enlightened. They are an odd breed, a mixture of types from Scientists whose inventions defy belief, to the things that more closely resemble out traditional witches and wizards, right down to the beards.
The enlightened I am most familar with are those of The Magic Bus Chantry of Hampshire. They seem to me to be renegades somewhat, much like the rest of those that make up the alliance. They are a small sample but they are all I have.
Verbena - This is the name given to the Wiccans. The local one Paul occasionally calls himself by another name, dismissing 'Verbena' as a modern Americanism. He is similar in many ways to our Gangrel. In tune with the earth and the cycles of nature, and somewhat aggressive with it. These modern 'witches' are a force to be reckoned with. I have seen him twist bodies and cause trees to grow with but a gesture and a word.
Euthanatos - These I know by Jim. He is a daunting figure, tall and black as night itself in clothing. His face is whiter than ours and picked out with strange patterns that appear to be tattoos but closer up appear to be burns. You never see the pattern move, but it is never quite the same. He is concerned with reincarnation, chance and death, and fair reeks of them all.
Akashic Brotherhood - These I know from Meg, who appears to follow an obscure martial art and eastern philosophy of simple movement. With her hands and some concentration she appears to be able to reshape materials and destroy great blocks of stone. Apparently our kind are incapable of learning this knowledge.
Cult Of Ecstacy - These I know from Sartori and Richard St. John. Hedonists, too much like our Toreador for my taste though Sartori has shown an imagination and a grasp of plotting that surprised me. I've seen them enter the spirit world of the Garou and twist the minds of others as well as see the past or future. If they were more disciplined they could accomplish so much more.
Virtual Adepts - These I know from Plague and Cereal. itinerant hackers they're understanding of space and volume allows them to bend it to their whim and theirhacking skills are unparalleled anywhere else.
The Technocracy - So often an enemy, we finally made some kind of peace leaving the Magi to their individual little war offering no direct support. Similar in many ways to the Virtual Adepts these seem somewhat like our Camarilla, seeking to control everyone and everything.
